Pickle & Ponder was founded out of a pure passion for local food and for showcasing the freshest quality produce beautiful British Columbia has to offer. We try to source as much produce from the Island as possible! Our goals, ambitions and inspirations have come together to form a truly amazing company that we are proud to be a part of.
Founding Pickle & Ponder has been Chef James Ponder's dream ever since he was a child watching his mother cooking and crafting in their home. His mother's traditional pickles and relishes were crafted with the same passion for great produce that fuels our product today. Now, with over 20 years experience in the hospitality industry, Chef Ponder has become a master of his craft and has developed those traditional recipes into new products with boundless flavour.
We feature a spin on the classic dill pickle with our Tangy Dill Pickles which are bright and flavourful, a taste to remember. We also feature some traditional British favourites such as our Malt Vinegar Pickled Onions, and our Sweet Mustard Pickle ("Piccalilli"). Other products include our Heirloom Tomato Relish, Jalapeño and Garlic Pickled Beans and more!
